Caps for Sale postcard frontCaps for Sale. To celebrate the 75th Anniversary of Esphyr Slobodkina’s famous tale of the hat seller and mischievous monkeys, The PuppeTree has rewritten and rebuilt our highly successful production to include the books’ original art. One performer mistakes this story for one about a race. BUT…the mistake can be corrected by READING!! Our new version is a fun-filled version that tells the story with puppets from may different cultures—to celebrate diversity. This show is for all ages and Families.

Swimmy/Swimmer is two puppet shows presented in 40 minutes. Swimmy, by Leo Lionni is the only Black Fish in a whole school of Red Fish. He swims faster than his sisters and brothers and wins a race with the fastest Red Fish. Because of his speed, he is the only survivor of an attack by giant Tuna. See how Swimmy uses his creativity to help a whole new school of fish like him become winners by cooperating, and surviving an attack by other BIG fish!!

Swimmer, the story of an athlete swimming in a River. During a race with other swimmers, she runs into speed-slowing interference from a river full of pollution—discarded plastic bottles! The Swimmer uses her no-quit #1 New Postcard Swimmyattitude as a trained athlete to organize a campaign to get the plastic out of the river…and win a small battle against environmental degradation! For 3-9 year olds and families.
